Clothes Drying on Line Outside | Indoors clothes drying | Green Dryer

Until about  a year ago, I never hung clothes out to dry.  I figured I’d get bugs on my clothes, pollen, bird poop, so I used the dryer. Mike convinced me to hang clothes out and put my clothes line back up. Now I love hanging clothes out to dry, the smell is soooo much nicer then the dryer, the fees, especially for sheets is much nicer, I love hanging laundry. 🙂

When I am looking to write about hanging clothes out I saw alot of people looking for eco-friendly clothes drying solutions for inside the house if you do not have a dryer and it winter!

Indoors Clothes Drying Options:
• Curtain Rod Clothes Drying – Use tension style shower curtain rod. My tub has walls on 3 sides. I have a rod in the usual place for the curtain, then a second rod a foot or so higher, but lined up over the centre of the tub. Garments are hung on hangers & can be hidden by the curtain. Another bonus, you don’t need to put it away & it takes up no space.
• Winter outside clothes drying – You can hang your clothes on a clothes line outdoors even if its freezing. Your clothes will freeze solid on the line, but they WILL dry! Dry winter air can pull the moisture right out of the clothing regardless of the temperature.
• Wooden Clothes Drying Rack – Purchase a accordian style wooden clothes dryer-you can put up and take down as needed.
• Space Heater Clothes Dryer – get a space heater and hang up your clothes around a room… (NONE ON THE HEATER!!!) they should dry over night.
• Refridgerator Clothes Drying – This idea may work depending on how you place your refridgerator if you have some space beside your fridge, it might be the best spot for indoor drying!

Simple Cheap Earrings | Cheap Easy Nail Painting & Designs

My first time painting my step daughters nails, I was not a pro, not thinking I let Maddy paint them her self on my bed, she was 7 at the time, for anyone starting out, that was not the best idea lol. Quilting Yarmouth | Nature Quilt | Quilting Club

Wednesday Night at my house in Yarmouth, NS, me and a few friends get together to quilt! We are all learning, some more experienced then others but loving every minute of it.  I started out taking quilting classes at Dayton Fabrics in Hebron as I did not own a sewing machine. Luckily after searching for hours on facebook Yardsale group in Yarmouth I found someone selling an old Singer Simple for $10.00, I freaked and went to pick it up, the machine works beautifully.

Now I just take what I have learned and work on my quilt at home! My favorite tools so far, the rotary cutter, you can get this kit(cutter, extra blade and cutting mat) at Walmart for $19.00. This was my far was a great investment. It’s a little scary and I have almost cut my finger off once or twice, but for cutting fabric squares it’s perfect!

Geocaching Yarmouth NS | Geocaching Events | Ervind

I love geocaching! I have been caching for about 2 years now.  Me and Mike actually met geocaching and we still enjoy going!  To explain geocaching in a simple sentence, Taking a handheld GPS and putting coordinates in you get online to  boxes hidden in the woods with trinkets in them. The fun of the game is not always what you find in the boxes but the locations it takes you, the fun of the hunt.

There was also a geocaching event in Yarmouth at the Hebron Recreation Center, it was an awesome time, we met up with Ervind, the guy with the most geocaches in Nova Scotia, the guy who placed the first geocache in Canada and so many cool other people.

Being a Step Mother | Step Parents

Having a Stepmom – Growing up, I remember first meeting my step mother, my first thought was, she’s nice but weird. She had big glasses, and flashy blue spandex on, and was smoking in my dad’s purple mustang hehe.  The spandex has left, but the weird and niceness never has 🙂 As the years went on, we had so much fun with my dad and step mom. She was so different, funny, she would do weird things, her and my dad teased each other,  she would be random, and stick her feet out the window while driving to make us laugh, or scare the crap out of dad, show us things we had never seen before like how to burn everything on the BBQ to a crisp lol, or how great salt fish is(ick), how to take jokes, how to play them and how to love and accept someone new into you life.  I am very thankful for my step mom.

Being a step mom – I was scared of being involved with kids. I thought I was never good with kids, I was scared of kids because I knew how bad I was as a child lol so kids made me worry.  I am extremely lucky to have amazingly awesome step kids. This Mothers Day I had a few tear ups, as we were driving in the car and out of the blue Maddy asked to have some paper and a pen.  About 10 times she wrote over and over again this:

When I saw it well Mike did first, I almost cried right there. Riley also offered to help me make jewelry and Maddy did the dishes. I am very happy to have the kids in my life and I enjoy the time I spend with them.
